About Sharpee: Started by Rose Jean Sharpe, and her husband, Carl after WWII in the Minneapolis, MN garment district. Very famous for making pedal pushers and the Sharpee women's coats. Rose traveled to Europe to look for inspiration and fashion trends to bring back to Minnesota. This coat is a great vintage piece with a versatile knitted collar & uniquely stylish knitted cuffs. Colors: Tan, Gray, and White Stripes Gray Knitted Collar & Cuffs Condition: Good Used Condition; some pilling that could be shaved/cleaned off. Only areas of damage are in the lining, primarily at the armpits (see photos). Marked Size 12 Measurements coming soon .... BTW I have NO IDEA what the original price was. We purchased a number of coats at a great vintage clothing store (ZAP) that we used to have in downtown Lancaster, PA about 20 years ago. It was only used by my daughter for a few months and not on a daily basis.
