*DO NOT BUY THIS POST* Birkenstock Boston Clogs Hey 👋🏼 Just some Birkenstock education for everyone looking to buy out there. As a long time wearer of Birks, it has been appalling to see so many fakes out there trying to be passed off as real. So here’s a guide of what to look for so you don’t get tricked into paying hundreds for fakes. Photo 2 shows the different strap studs. Real Birks have a dot and elongated text. Photo 3 shows the number of strap notches. Real Birks have 4. Photo 4 shows some obvious sloppy printing on footbeds and a stamped number that I keep seeing repeated on fakes. It looks like 8967 or 896Y. Photo 5 shows inner stamp font differences. Other notable differences: The construction! Look at that sloppy glue job of the inner right clog. Red Flag! Birkenstock would never! Also, Real Birkenstocks have a darker hue to the stud, leather and cork. Notable similarity that can fool you: The soles are nearly identical. Beware of language like “AAA” or “made in same factory”, as 99% of the time that is not true. Also real Birkenstocks arrive with tags attached to the LEFT shoe, never anywhere else.
