A visual anthology as seen through the expert's eyes is all compiled into this souvenir collectible book, a coffee table conversation starter. The book is divided into sections which cover: Astoria, the starting point; bays and byways; the roller coaster coastline; beautiful dunes; and the lonely but lovely south coast. Lots of explanatory text and color photography, along with history, feature descriptions and ecological aspects of the state. As stated on the contents page, most of the photography is available as an enlarged print and can be ordered via the publisher. One can also carefully take out some of the full-color photos and frame them as well. This ideal coffee table book measures approx. 8-1/2" wide X 11" high X 3/8" thick. The perfect-bound book is in overall good condition with no rips, tears or markings. There is some sticker price residue on the cover which can be removed. A rare find, now a collector's item. This 1980 edition is hard to find in used/out-of-print book stores or rare book shops. These books now sell for big money at auction, consignment or rare book stores (if they even carry it). Stored in a cool, dry place in a smoke-free/pet-free home.
