These are winter boots that don't read as snow boots - they have amazing traction and are from Pedro Garcia - so high quality leather interior and exterior. They also have a padded synthetic upper that goes to mid-calf with an adjustable draw cord closure. They are super flattering on the leg. ! They are sized as an 8.5/39 and fit me perfectly (I'm at 8.5 in shoes). A great quality boot!
