There is a little rip on the back of each sham where the pillow goes in. It does not effect the crisp look of these king size shams. I also saw two ares where there must have been embellishments on the front by the plain cotton area of the sham. What is nice about that is you can add anything you want; bottoms, bows, embroidery or Just leave them plain.
