Vintage 1930-40's Handmade Scarlet Velvet Wrap Blouse With Stamped Grape Pattern

EUC Stunning, rare hand made 1930-40's scarlet colored, (possibly silk) velvet wrap blouse with an allover gold, blue, and white grape design. The design almost looks like it is hand painted on, but it was probably stamped on some how. It does have a bit of sparkle in the paint, this may have been worn as a holiday or theater garment. Jacket has drop shoulders with pleating, and a bat wing sleeve. Front left side of blouse crosses over to the right and secures inside with single hook and thread loop at waist. Right side then crosses over to the left and secures at waist with three hooks and thread loops. Thread loops will need to be replaced as they're a bit stretched out, but that is probably good, that way you can customize the fit to your waist. The ivory crepe lining has hand stitching around the edges. Some of the stitches do go through to the outer velvet side, but it's not that noticeable. There's also a few tiny spots to the lining, and some wrinkling to the velvet, but otherwise I didn't see any other flaws or damage. Gorgeous one-of-a-kind special occasion statement piece to wear with a nice pair of slacks or a beautiful skirt. Bust 19, waist 14 1/2 with loops sewn as shown, length approx 19 inches.
