Very good pre-owned condition vintage ( late 1980s to extremely early 1990s ) men's original-print graphic spell-out t-shirt, which was sponsored by the African National Congress to protest the 27-year imprisonment of Nelson Mandela -- who was an anti-apartheid activist and politician who served as the first president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999 -- for opposing South Africa's system of racial segregation during the 1960s, printed on an old-school Hanes merchandise tag (ULTRA RARE). Because Mandela was released from prison on Feb. 11, 1990, this piece marks one of the last officially - licensed protest tees released by a political party prior to Nelson gaining his freedom : a perfect collector's item for Black History Month to celebrate a truly influential champion for racial equality. Although this item is in very nice shape for a decades-old, true vintage tee, it does show typical signs of wear & natural marks/discoloration due to age (nearly 35 years old now) that's treatable with a good cleaning/wash, as seen in photos.
Size L, measurements in photos.
