FYI since it’s all over Poshmark now ☹️ A lot of people are stealing pics of bags and selling f a k e bags and saying they are authentic. Please share and tag your posh friends if they’re looking to buy a MJ tote bag on here. I see people paying $100-$200 and being told they are authentic. 💔 AUTHENTIC Canvas totes: • do not have silver zippers. I’ve only seen and own canvas and mesh with black zippers • do have “The Marc Jacobs” on the strap hardware • do have the Marc jacobs on the inner pocket and down the sides of the inner corners of the bag AUTHENTIC Leather Totes: • do NOT have metal buttons on the corners of the bags • do NOT only have Sherpa around the edges • do NOT have white letters • do have “The Marc Jacobs” on the strap hardware • do have gold zippers • do have the Marc jacobs on the inner pocket • do have a tag and barcode on the inside by the inner pocket • do have a thin leather strap with circular holes to adjust the length Last 2 photos show what to look for in the fake bags.

rclairemcaree Thank you for posting this! I would add... most of the new colors in leather have silver-toned hardware and sometimes only read "Marc Jacobs" on the interior slip pocket, bag patch and hardware. There are a few leathers (Candy Pink Colorblock as well as the original colorways for example) that do have white lettering. I guess I would say: authentic bags come with a seller who's willing to give you information including a copy of the receipt. THANK YOU FOR POSTING!!! 💕

irenexoxo1 Lol someone just tried to scam me. Seller had reasonably priced (but real) Marc Jacobs totes for sale. After purchasing, she canceled the order and wanted me to text her (I made a beware post on my page). All I want is a bag and it seems impossible to find a legitimate seller.

vefbilsak @irenexoxo1 yep that’s the new scam! They want you to text and do a payment outside of poshmark. It’s terrible.. I’ve hardly bought on here recently because you just can’t trust so many of the sellers.

littleroyal1 There is a Poshmark seller who claims to have a relative who works for Marc Jacobs. She sent me the bag and it was the wrong color. When I messaged her to see if she accidentally sent me the wrong order, she immediately began to attack me.

littleroyal1 She stated that I must have switched the bags because she video taped herself packaging my item. All I wanted was help and and answer. I went to the Neiman Marcus near me to compare the bags and can see this one must be fake. I’m so sad. The one I wanted was the black mesh with the pink pocket. :(

littleroyal1 I went to her page and she seems to be a reputable seller which is why I trusted her. I ordered the black and pink mesh and received the all black bag. So disappointed. :(

phoebe_solano Omg that happen to me i buy one for 140 on December and find out last mont when one friend show me her bag which it was the same one that I have and no logo inside in the corners but or the extra packet inside and look the saler profile with the surprise not have any post after that the purchase a dick basically erased all the post

ikjguzman9 @irenexoxo1 yes same seller did that to me too canceled tried to say I cancelled it and then tried telling me to use the app her. She literally looked me up and said " this is you"
