Vintage Finished Crewel Embroidery Repurposed Floral Rectangular Accent Pillow

- Colorful, vintage pillow depicting a nature scene of flora and fauna: berries, pears, grapes, a butterfly and bird, poinsettia, and acorn, amidst flowers and branches, in a circular motif - Circa 1970s when a lot of homemakers created pillows, tablecloths, and framed art, among other things, from kits as you can see some of the faint lines of the artwork on the fabric - Hand embroidered on woven mesh linen with wool floss on the front and backed by soft, dark grey flannel in a windowpane design on the back. Stuffed with new Poly-fil stuffing. Very light, plush, and cozy - Originally under glass with a broken wooden frame so it was very well protected and preserved. Not a stitch out of place and no fraying; no stains or rips either. Excellent condition! - Repurposed into a pillow and sewn with a backing to continue its life. There is no zipper or opening; all four sides are either machine stitched or lightly hand sewn to close one side. Priced accordingly - Great color, texture, and whimsy, capturing the 1970s color scheme of rich ochres, oranges and reds - Makes a nice addition to that boho cottage, or retro style furniture, and décor NOTE: given its delicate quality, my recommendation is to either spot clean, or hand wash in cold water or machine wash in a cold delicate cycle so as one, not to shrink or loosen the wool floss fibers, and two, not to bleed the dyes.
