Gorgeous mid century vintage Japanese furisode kimono in a rare purple color. The long sleeves and fancy decoration identify this as a furisode, designed for formal dress, coming of age or weddings. Kimonos like this are entirely hand made, from the silk dying, painting to the stitching. It dates to the early 1970s. The outside is a textured chirimen silk blend, with an inside lining of soft white silk. This is in excellent condition to be worn or displayed. It would make a beautiful wedding gown or costume, cosplay piece or beautiful to display as decor as well. Arm span- 50 inch (127 cm) across the top, sleeve end to sleeve end.
