This is ceramic and HANDMADE in Aurora, NY and HAND-PAINTED. The tail also serves as a ring holder. This was purchased directly from Mackenzie Childs. CLASSIC and WONDERFUL addition to any table or vanity area!! The plate is fluted/ruffled and measures approximately 8 1/4"L by 5 7/8"W by 3 7/8"H. Hand washing is recommended. This is NOT Dishwasher safe nor microwave safe. Comes from a non-smoking home. There is a dot splatter of paint on one of the black squares...see picture...it was this way when received and painted this way. These pieces are all hand-painted and no two are alike.
