Vintage Alfred Meakin Pink Transferware Milk Jug/Pitcher Hand Painted Tintern. Excellent condition. “Tintern” by Alfred Meakin is a lesser known pattern which features a scene of the village of Tintern, Monmouthshire Wales. In the foreground, a shepherd tends his flock on the bank of the River Wye. In the background is a historic landmark, the Tintern Abbey ruins. The Abbey was founded in 1131 and was surrendered to King Henry VIII in 1536. Dimensions: Approx. 5 1/2" tall on pour side, 5 1/4" tall on front and back.
