Beautiful framed PRINT copy of a Benard Direxit copper engraving of Sand Dollars & other Echinoderms (sea urchins)
Bernard Direxit was one of the most prolific natural history engravers during the 1700's.
His greatest work was "Histoire Naturelle" where the original plate of this print came from.
The Musee National d'Histoire Naturelle/ National Museum of Natural History in France
was formally founded on June 10, 1793 during the French Revolution.
It is world famous as the leading authority of botanical and natural history science.
