kccanning So I posted an additional photo which shows it to be about 25 inches. I don’t see any signature on it but I have an appraisal value but I would need to track down where I put it and will do so if you have a serious interest in purchasing it.

finbose Hi ! Is this signed ?

kccanning
kccanning @finbose I’ve never looked. There isn’t much space on which an artist could sign. I bought it in Santa Fe at the American Indian festival where many tribes came in to sell their works. Baskets, jewelry, pottery, it was amazing. I’ll check to see if I can find any mark on it and get back to you.

hcozewith FYI - not lapis. Probably sodalite. Lapis has pyrite inclusions. You might want to verify.

kccanning @jeanettelovvorn Actually, Native Americans frequently use lapis in making their jewelry. The type used in this necklace is called Blue Jean Lapis according to the jeweler where I bought it. They also used coral and mother of pearl as well as turquoise.

kccanning @hcozewith I have the appraisal which says: “Denim Lapis Squash Blossom Necklace Sterling Silver”. The appraised value is $2199.00.

kccanning @jeanettelovvorn In the US, lapis is found in Colorado and California. Some is also found in Canada.
