Vintage 90s Platforms-Red Leopard Velvet Morbid Threads Mary Janes 8.5 (*read)

Have been sitting on these a while b/c they're SO legendary, truly the dream vintage Josie & The Pussycats platform shoe for me. Tragically, when I got them, the heel on the left shoe was separating from the sole, as is so common with vintage shoes. So, I put HOURS/weeks of TLC to bring to them back to life because I was not going to give up hope. With a lot of patience and the best shoe repair glue I could get, I was successful in fixing it and the shoe is now intact! However, it is certainly visible in some areas where you can still see a bit of dried glue, most of this is on the inside and is hidden whilst wearing. Some glue is visible also around the area where the sole meets the heel, and a little bit of dried glue got onto the platform itself, but on the facing that faces inside/the right shoe -and it's not much. I also did not yet fix part of the insoles that are peeling up a bit bc that didn't directly affect wearability of the shoes themselves, and I was hesitant to add even more glue. Despite adding a few aesthetic imperfections, after letting them cure like that for a while, I was able to wear them around my house without any issue! They will still need TLC of course, likely upkeep repair, & I recommend only wearing them for short periods, maybe just for photos etc!
