Vintage France Microbead Mosaic Compact & Lipstick Set Circa 1940s

Absolutely Gorgeous and Elegant European French Microbead Mosaic Vintage Compact & Lipstick Set from Circa 1940s. Unused, immaculate condition. Compact has a shiny brass interior with a metal framed sifter in a snap shut interior compartment. The puff appears original, but has separated over time, including the ribbon that was likely once attached, but now lays across the top layer in the powder well. The perfectly clear interior mirror is bevel edged and has a square brass frame. The outer backside of the compact is matte and scored with an elegant diagonal design. The matching lipstick has a twisted brass edge on top and bottom, as well as a twisted brass lower edge on the base column. The interior tube is a nice tight fit in the exterior tube, and twists with ease, but has only the slightest residue of the colored lipstick that is no longer present inside. All mircrobeads are present and accounted for! Stunning design -- a must for any serious collector.
