Vintage Lady's Pillbox Hat Hat has one label that states 'Reproduction of Claude Saint-Cyr Paris'. Claude Saint-Cyr was a milliner whose popularity resulted in authorized remakes being produced starting in the 1950's. The hat is solid blue in color in pillbox style with a sloped top. Because of the way the material is wrapped or bunched around the sides, it is somewhat reminiscent of a turban style hat as well. All sides of the hat are decorated with small purple-colored flatback beads. Three sides are also decorated with large purple-colored flatback beads and bars. It appears that the material was decorated before forming the hat because there are decorative beads and bars hidden in the folds. The exterior material of the hat is soft and felt-like. There is an interior lining that is a little sturdier that helps the hat somewhat hold its shape. The hat is gently used with no fraying or signs of wear. It had been stored in a large hat box along with a couple other hats in the dark of the top of a closet.
