Beautiful long pearl necklace vintage from the 1940s or 50s. The round 8mm pearls are all the same, and hand-knotted together. They are a soft champagne color. The gold plated box clasp is in an elaborate flower design adorned with rhinestones. The clasp is designed to hold 2 strands, but this necklace now only has one strand - Not noticeable and still looks great. The pearls are in excellent condition and I believe are cultured pearls. Real pearls are heavier and more likely to have knots between each pearl. Pearls about 8mm are traditionally worn by adult women and gifted for a wedding or up to the 5th anniversary. N-385
