Hello BlackBudda, where did you get this brass piece? I'm in love with it; I think it's a spider and it very much reminded me of the character Anansi from American Gods because of the rope pattern used to create the design. @brendalwise thank you for purchasing this piece. I am pretty sure these are tribal pieces made by Akan people of Ghana. It represents wisdom, creativity, and the intricate nature of life. Inspired by the spider's web, this symbol is associated with Ananse (the spider), a figure in Akan folklore known for intelligence and problem-solving skills.
