"I saw pale kings and princes too, Pale warriors, death-pale were they all; They cried—‘La Belle Dame sans Merci Thee hath in thrall!’" "La Belle Dame Sans Merci" by John Keats is one of the most memorable ballads in British Romanticism. Keats' character of The Beautiful Lady Without Mercy has an ethereal quality to her that mirrors both the majesty & terror of nature. Celebrate La Belle Dame Sans Merci, with this necklace depicting the character! This unisex necklace features (from left to right), first silver charms of dewdrops, since Keats uses the dewdrops in nature to illustrate the effect La Belle Dame has on the knight. Next is Lily charm, since Keats uses the Lily (often associated with death) to reflect the paleness of the knight and to foreshadow his misfortune. In the center is a portrait style painting pendant of the knight and La Belle Dame surrounded by a silver filagree frame. To the right is a 4 seasons charm, since the various seasons play a key role in the depiction of La Belle Dame. Last is a rose charm, since roses are also a symbol of the knight's love. This necklace has been newly handmade just for you, and is adjustable from 19.25 to 27.5 inches (can be altered upon request). Love handmade jewelry?
