Pair of Brass Antique Victorian Candlesticks

These are solid brass push up candle holders from the 19th century. The push up mechanism no longer works, but it defines the origin and era of these beauties. They have been in my collection for more than 35 years, and I purchased from an antique store in Connecticut. I will polish them up nicely before shipping. Would have already done that, but I ran out of brass polish a couple of days ago!
