1994 Liberty/American Eagle 1/4 oz 22KT Gold Coin (uncirculated) in beautiful 14KT YG Pendant with smooth bezel and fine rope trim detail Repurposed in 1986 for the American Gold Eagle, the infamous design was created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907. The American Gold Eagle coin program rivals other popular gold coin series worldwide. Each coin is guaranteed by the US Mint and Treasury for weight and purity. Lady Liberty is on the obverse side of the 1994 1/4 oz coin in front-facing relief as she strides forward toward the viewer with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The U.S. Capitol is visible at her feet as sun rays fill the horizon behind her. A family of American bald eagles is on the reverse design, showing a bald eagle nest with a female eagle and hatchlings inside. A male eagle soars overhead with a branch in its talons. The eagle design was created in 1986 by Miley Busiek exclusively for the Gold Eagle Series.
