This large vintage box is like a burst of *Sunshine*!!! Bentwood shaker style oval with lid - warm light wood with a gold hue. Hand painted in the most beautiful, colorful floral motif. Two roosters featured on lid. Likely Russian, painted in the traditional folk art style of Khokhloma or Gorodetskaya Rospis (Gordets). But possibly Dutch or Norwegian, as hand painted bentwood and oval boxes are more typical there (Russians typically use other shapes and black lacquer). Unsigned. Date unknown. SIZE: Measures 8 3/4” L by 5 1/4” W by 5 1/4” H. CONDITION: Excellent! Very solid and clean.
