Vintage MINK Collar Wool Coat, Size Small/Medium

This elegant and timeless fur collar soft wool coat belonged to a family member of mine. She told me that the collar is authentic mink fur, and I believe it is from the 1970s. The collar stands up with a hook and eye. The brand label tells us that this rare fashion gem is from Hymson's, a long closed, high end department store in Lexington, Kentucky. There's no size tag in this classy car coat, but she normally wore a size 6-8. There is a section of the silk lining where the stitches are coming loose, approximately 8 inches in length. It's a simple matter of repairing this seam by hand with a loop stitch. Please see the last photo for details. With the one exception described above, this vintage coat is in marvelous condition! The fur is silky, shiny, and clean. The fabric is beautiful with no stains or visible flaws that I can discern. The lining is luxurious and lovely. The gold tone buttons are amazing, although they are not original to the garment. Additional photos available upon request.
