Vintage Handmade Handsewn Bears On Go Micky Mouse Double Sided Cotton Quilt

This is a vintage adorable Cranston make-a-book fabric with a design of bears engaging in their daily activities, including flying on planes, riding, motorcycles, driving cars, traveling by camper, flying in balloons as well as traveling by train, truck, canoe and boat. Each of the traveling scenes is shown within a square and each square has a caption describing the action: Trucks take us to work, Campers take us on vacation, Planes fly us across the country, Canoes are fun to paddle across the pond, Boats sail across the ocean, Balloons take us up in the sky, Motorcycles go fast down the road, Cars drive us home. This quilt is very special because is done totally be hand, every stich with no exception. Who does this type of work anymore? The quilt shows vintage age and usage. It was finished in 2005 and the signature of the maker is on the back, left side lower corner. The back side also depicts Micky Mouse. It appears some repairs were made to the quilt, also by hand. This can be seen in the last 3 photos. They seem harmonious with the general happy feeling of this quilt. Dimensions: 35"x37" This quilt would look great in your child room, but also as a piece of the past over a chair, bed or couch.
