Unique solid brass Brendel frames West Germany

Of a totally different quality than modern frames, a really gorgeous object in its own right, these cat-eye tortoise-shell Brendel frames made in W. Germany 🇩🇪 with unique brass hinges and adornment are really something special. The way the gold tone catches the light is spectacular. They are deceptive - actually very light on the face, not heavy. Will need new lenses - unless you get very lucky - they currently have a very mild prescription. The size is inscribed on the temple: 56 16 140. Brendel was a high-end luxury optics brand - these are not no-name! Please note one imperfection - the two temples don’t match exactly -- not sure which side is the one that lost something, since both sides look neat and finished.
