zzzzzz111111 A super vintage 60s-era handbag. The outer shell material is not patent leather, rather it's a material called " Lema' ". I hope this info is useful.

conniecampos @zzzzzz111111 Thank you for the info, I tried looking up info on "lema" but couldn't find any information. When I typed in lema fabric, it described woven textiles?? I did describe the purse as being a form of faux patent though, as it has the same look and feel as patent. If you have the information on where I can find more about lema, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks, Connie 😊♥️

zzzzzz111111 You're welcome. " Lema' " is what the base material is and yes it is a very tight wiven material. It can look like Gold, Silver or Rose color patent. After the end of the 70s it hasn't been much. By the by, most purses of all types made during the 50s thru the 70s were not made of patent leather. Rather, patent vinyl was used.
