Gorgeous Antique Victorian Era Circa 1800s, Brooch crafted from an Equestrian Horse's Bridle. In Ancient and Medieval times, Bridle Rosettes were made of medals, such as iron, bronze and copper. As Industrialized manufacturing flourished in the 1800s, Bridle Rosettes were created with Glass domes enclosing hand painted artwork, dye cuts, pictures and photographs. This beauty is held in time, by someone in the 1800s who felt this one worthy of being made into Jewelry. It measures 1.75" across and has had a 1930's clasp that replaced the old C clasp or was just fashioned into a Brooch in the 1930's . A perfect Heirloom Quality Collectors Item. Item D87.
