About
Beautiful and fully original steamer trunk by Innovation. This authentic traveler’s case (steamer trunk) was used in the early 20th century to travel the world by boat. Travelling was then considered a privilege a was only for the wealthy. Back then people would like to travel in style and this translated into acquiring beautiful trunks like this to carry their valuable belongings along the journey. This example is in original condition, and is labeled on almost every part of the trunk. It has lots of drawers and has clothing hangers that can be arranged as desired. Also a shoe storage space at the bottom of the trunk. A truly beautiful and historical piece with a story. Very decorative and useful. Great as a display stand for a shop or as a decorative piece in any room. 1930s, France

How much does this weigh?

@jezkacloset Good question. I’m gonna find out the exact weight, but definitely gonna have to think thru options to ship. If someone were to purchase within any reasonable driving distance, I am prepared to offer to deliver it. Where are you located?

@thegreatbelzoni One the east coast. I’m thinking it would be a pretty penny to ship. I find this to be a lovely vintage item.

@jezkacloset There are so many things I wish I could easily ship across the country. They’re making it very hard to ship even lighter things. I’ll look into it though. This is one of the coolest pieces of furniture/luggage I’ve ever seen

Wow! I just wanted to say how awesome this is and how envious I am of you & it's future owner. Unfortunately, it's not in my budget, but it reminds me of the Titanic and type of "luggage" some passengers may have traveled with.

@courtbrown79 Hi!! I wish you lived closer to California so I didn’t have to ship it. I actually have another one that is pretty much just as cool, but much less expensive. Lemme know if you’re ever out in LA! :)

@thegreatbelzoni you know, I actually have some friends out that way who will be headed back to the east coast in the spring! 😀
