Lovely vintage earrings with oval drops decorated with handpainted bird designs. Each earring is about 1 5/8" long including the silvertone screwback findings. I don't know what the ovals are made of. At first I thought they might be bone but they seem too lightweight for that. There are fine marks on the edges that look like they were carved, so they may be celluloid. Since I'm not sure, I'm going to assume they are made of some sort of plastic material.
