EXTRAORDINARY 1930's NAVY STRAW CONICAL HAT + CORLED FEATHER POM PONS

This hat is visually stunning, and exemplifies the high fashions of the 1930s'. The shiny, wide bands of straw creatively shape the hat into a cone. There is a gap at the top back that is filled with draped navy fabric. At the top there is a grosgrain bow that secures 3 small balls made of curled navy feathers. The inside of the hat is lined with a black fabric.there is an elastic band attached to the inside to keep the hat in a tilted position. This hat is truly remarkable, and one-of-a-kind! Women’s 1930s hats were small and simple in decoration, yet their shaping was a work of art. There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation. This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years.
