Thanks for this. Is there a way I can designate a fellow Posher as my Moderator? I find shows flow better when I have help from a moderator that can answer questions that I may have missed or just interact in chat with a MOD designation. I do shows with my brother and he is really great at answering questions in chat but it sometimes looks like a random person is answering.

@vchic02 it blocks them from chatting in your shows. You don’t have to clear the chat and you can hit no to clearing the chat if you’d like.

@bdangel112 Once your show is live you can only remove or add items to the tray with a 2nd device. The device you’re live on can only be used to stream and to select which item you want to run next. This applies to live and silent shows. I use my phone for the stream and use either my iPad or my old iPhone XR as my 2nd device to reply to comments, quick list, tag Poshers and clean up the tray.

@69andholding @jferclark @bdangel112 when you were allowed access to Posh shows, you had to go through training. You can rewatch it on their blog with a password access. If you don’t remember that password, reach out to Posh Shows support at hosting@ poshmark.com

Sometimes chat is completely dead 😂 I usually ask their name and state to keep the comments going, but not all feel comfortable sharing that information for some reason (that was an original advice from Posh, when they announced that feature in 2022 at PoshFest in Houston 🤪

@standoutstaples Hello! I was just scrolling through these comments lol. I think they only did the training for a while when lives first started. When I was approved, they no longer did the training, but honestly it would have been helpful. I’ve done silents, but haven’t done lives, as my work schedule is so demanding. I’m always learning from watching them though. 😊

@moonchild1977 Your not alone many in the Posh Community have only one available device. Also there is a video that you do not need a pass code to watch How to for Live shows. Reach out to customer service for the link or location to the most up to date information since Posh has done many tweaks to Live shows etc. Good luck & wish you continued success on the platform 🥰✅

It would be extremely helpful if Posh made it so you can assign certain people as a moderator and had their messages possibly be a different color… that way important show information etc. are seen.

@avocado2006 Hi! Sorry I missed this comment. I actually haven’t had much success with silent shows. I’ve haven’t done many, but I’ve probably made 5 sales total across shows. Two of those needed to update their payment method, so it didn’t accept their orders, and they didn’t fix it when I reached out. Thanks for your question. 😊

@moonchild1977 Yeah, it seems they changed the requirements for it & I believe everyone has access to do lives now. I didn’t use a 2nd device for silents, but I also didn’t need to add anything to the tray. I already had it all in the tray before the auction started.

@bdangel112 you don’t HAVE to have two devices, but it is super helpful. I run my show on my phone and then “join” the show from my computer. That way, I can use my phone as the video camera and run the listings from my computer and my hands aren’t blocking the camera when doing so. Hope this helps!

@fairypower1234 I'm not available this weekend. School starts here in Monday and we're finishing up everything for school. I did look at your closet. First I'd suggest making a listing for your shows so you should use a general show listing and make about 50 slots available. In the show when you sell something that is not listed, ask your buyer to take a screenshot. I have a show listing. I will put it at the top of my closet so you can get an idea. this prevents you from having to quick list.

@bdangel112 yes- you can select 1 device to use as the camera and the other device you can hold in your hand so you don’t have to stare at the screen/ camera device to look at the chat. This also helps with “quick listing” items during your live show. You start your show using one device then simply log into your account on the other right afterwards. Hope this helps 💕💕

@69andholding I feel you! I need to look around more for content and tips. I’ve watched a ton trying to see what works, too.
I’ve been here a while and only attempted two. My last one was malfunctioning: it kept erasing the auction details I set and made me try multiple times to auction each item. And it was a share show—and even with the slideshow feature turned on—it would not show photos of others’ items! It was so frustrating.

Does anyone know how I delete everything in my closet so when I get to TN I can completely start over. I mean all my listings not sold items cause I think you cannot delete them.

@bdangel112 you actually need 2 devises the first you set up as your camera from which angle people will see you or what you’re showing. The second device is for you to choose a listing from your tree to auction and start the auction or two quick list an item. You would click on your show to enter with either one of the devices and keep it on your show throughout the live

@moonchild1977 Do you have an old phone that is disconnected? If so, and you have Wi-Fi you can use it through your Wi-Fi net work just as you do your regular phone. That’s a second device I use.

@bdangel112 at the time of your comment you actually had to use two devices to do a show. One to broadcast and one to manage running your listings and adding to the tray. Now it allows you to do it all from one device. I still recommend two because the system is so glitchy at times
