Vintage Mr. Peanut Porcelain (Enamel) Advertising Sign by Ande Rooney™️ at www.anderooney.com.
Planters, “The Biggest Name in Peanuts”, introduced MR. PEANUT in 1918. With a full page appearance in the Saturday Evening Post, Mr. Peanut became the first peanut to be nationally advertised. Mr. Peanut has been featured on every Planters package, container and ad ever since!
Ande Rooney porcelain advertising signs bring to life images of America from the turn of the century onward. These “made in the U.S.A.” reproductions are handmade using a process popularized in the early 1900’s.
Purchased at Laws Auction House in Manassas, VA and displayed in our home since. It is in excellent, vintage condition.
