Could probably come out, but I haven't tried because i didn't want to risk the integrity of the dress. I am five foot 6 and a size large/12/14 usually and this is how it fits me. It's a tad tight in the shoulders/chest region so it would probably best fit a small/medium. No holes or rips 18.5" pit to pit - gets wider and more flowy as it goes down.
