Sapphire Ring Platinum Old Cut Diamond Edwardian Engagement Ring Platinum 1910s

Sapphire ring- magnificent Edwardian era blue sapphire engagement ring in solid platinum with fine quality diamonds from about 1910. The 1.8 carat sapphire is a natural earth mined stone with beautiful saturation and clarity in an ideal velvety navy blue color. This Edwardian era platinum setting is decorated with with a total of 18 genuine sparkling fine quality old European cut diamonds estimated to be VVS (only very very slight crystal inclusions visible under magnification) and colorless. The diamonds have an estimated total diamond carat weight for the ring of about 1 ct. The beautiful craftsmanship of the setting is still nice and crisp, nicely framing the center sapphire with smaller wheat sheaths carved on the ring shoulders. Wheat was symbolic of abundance and a hopeful future. The center sapphire measures 7.1 mm across or about 1.8 Ct by measurement. This is one of the nicest examples of this type of ring that I have ever come across at auction and would make a wonderfully unique engagement ring! :) Unmarked due to previous sizing/wear, tested and guaranteed platinum. Total ring weight is a luxurious 6.2 grams! The ring face measures 18 mm E to W and 15 mm N to S, simply gorgeous and in excellent condition and ready to be worn and loved!
