Movado M95 Chronograph Reference number 19020 I had a new balance wheel and flyback hammer installed by the watchmaker on the card in the pictures. He said the it was the last balance wheel in the states that could be found. It now runs and keeps time with all function working. He said it was a difficult movement to work on and did what he was comfortable doing to the movement. That being said the only real issues are the zero flyback occasionally does not com all the way back to zero, but will if you start / stop it and zero again. The same issue is with the 12 hr register as he said it has wear on the pin for the hand and it floats, but will re zero. I bought a NOS Movado band for it. As you see the watch now it has not been restored and has a beaurtiful patina. He dated the watch to 1944 so I think it looks pretty good for 80 years old. Movado only made 14,200 M95 chronos between 1939 and 1969. This is a watch for a collector that will cherish it for what it is. There is a gentleman on youtube that goes through the movado history and identification. The watchmaker can answer any question of the work he did, so his card is included. Thanks

@4idfox thanks for the prompt response! And does it say Switzerland on the bottom of the dial?

@rocan88 It does not say swiss on the dial, but has been verified by a buyer from National Rarites when they were here in Grand Rapid MI at Kessler Jewlers

@4idfox it’s predominantly original, however it should be noted that the dial has in fact been refinished at some point. Which isn’t to say it’s not real, it’s just not it it’s original condition which significantly impacts value. All Movado pieces of this era would have had the word Switzerland or Swiss at the 6 o’clock position. Still a real dial and likely period correct, but unfortunately not in its original condition.

@rocan88 you can beleive what you want, but I'll go buy the appraiser and the watchmaker that repaired it.
