I began collecting Antique Clothes in 1971- yup, 55 years ago! I can't believe it either! What I can believe is in all that time,.this ensamble is the most delicate, intact I've had the privilege to own! The sheer palest peach nearly nude Chiffon decieves you to think it's a negligee, but snaps + hooks & eyes in the seam say otherwise! Then there's the companion silk slip & what about the coordinating bolero jacket? It's a magnificent find with very minimal occasional blemishes somewhat difficult to photograph that tend to hide in the volume of silk. Garments this age can be delicate - the utmost care will be taken in packaging it. But as such garments may be damaged by overly ambitious handling or attempting to try on / wear an item not suitable for your body type or size, No Return Will be Allowed. Please understand, you're purchasing a magnificent piece of Fashion History. ADDENDUM: Measured the slip as proxy for the entire ensemble. Underarm Underarm approx 17" & Length approx 48" The slip is lightweight silk but opaque for modesty sake, the last 8" is the same SHEER CHIFFON proving itself to be the ORIGINAL SLIP! What a magnificent fi d that all 3 pieces remain together and in such relatively unblemished condition!

bbbabe3715 @hilarya905 This is a 100 year old 2 piece Silk Chiffon 2 piece ensamble. Both items are intact with minimal age related issues. I have collected Antique and Vintage Clothes since 1972 and can state that this is a highly unusual find. Quite frankly, it's underpriced. I'm only offering items from my collection as at my age I prefer they go-to others who will care for them appropriately than to family who aren't antique-oriented. thank you

bbbabe3715 @bbbabe3715 Hi,Mimi I see in the measurement field I direct viewers to the 1st comment. But there isn't a comment that provides the information. That's because my husband died suddenly and unexpectedly and Iforgot to return to the listing in the aftermath I keep my Antique garments off site in acid free museum storage boxes to protect them. Unless o happen to havesome assistance l can't photograph them with a measure lying upon them as it would risk damaging them

vidasilver Oh I see! Completely understand and I’m sorry to hear that. Well, no rush, and no need for photo measuring, written measurements are great too. So many garments from this time are size 00 or some such, and I wear a 4.

favored_ It’s going to be a 0-2 in our modern sizing. It is really a collector’s piece unless it’s purchased by someone very svelte. It’s just beautiful. Fellow collector and widow here. It is going to stretch downward because of its bias cut. And as the owner knows cannot be stored on a hanger. I have similar pieces. I’ve been collecting just as long 🩷

bbbabe3715 Please see the photos and the description regarding condition. It's approximating 100 years of age - nothing this old is entirely faultless unless it's been conserved professionally by a museum- which one commenter begs me to donate it to it's so exquisite a find. It is sheer silk chiffon so would be see through except that it retains its original slip for modesty just as it was worn initially. Thank you for your inquiry.
