14"L x 11"W x 4 1/2"H - Handmade in Turkey
This is made by Turkish artisans at Istanbul Chic Glass Co. The amount of gold covering on this is quite impressive. The light bluish hand painting is encased by a thick, clear layer of clear glass. The piece is thick and heavy. The gold covering has some natural cracking happening. And you can see a base layer of silver behind the gold bottom. It looks completely natural. The gold and the blue were painted by hand. The darker spots you see on top with the light blue and gold is wood bark. This piece keeps getting more interesting. It is shaped like a clam shell, a gigantic clam shell. The middle of the piece is a small deep dish area that is almost 2" Deep, and is "14.5" Long and makes it a raised centerpiece. I found only a few others online, but not as nice as this. So, I would consider it rare, and it is definitely vintage. If you want your area to look very high end, then this centerpiece will do the job. Don't miss out!

@francesrushlow this is cool. Does this qualify for vintage and handmade show?

Definitely Vintage. I'm just not sure of the exact year but I think before 2000 for sure. And 100% Handmade. They are all different. there's only a few out there maybe one or two. But they all have a different shape.

It's honestly my coolest Vintage piece I ever had. I've never been able to date it, but another person who had one said she thought it was made in the late 90's or early 200's. it seriously looks Mid Century Modern. But A Flair of Art Nouveau with it's look with the pure gold bottom and clam shapes design and the Art Nouveau with the organic natural materials that are hand set on top of one another.

All of the gold painted thick and accented with wood bark, and has a greenish/light blue color behind natural made glass. I think it's a work of art that people do not recognize. It's classier and more modern than any vase that I have except one. It's not WWII period but looks like it could be. The Turkish really know how to work with elements and make something beautiful and call it art glass.

@start_today Sorry for my typos. But no one wants to buy this piece. I've had it a long time It's a centerpiece like no other. A Turkish man wanted to buy it but stopped answering my DM's. We could always do a private sale if you wanted. I do more sales on Marketplace in groups than other platform.
