This is a very handsome pen brought to you from Breitling. Breitling watch has been in the aeronautical business since 1884, leading the way in aviation timekeeping. This particular pen has a look inspired in the 1940s. It is quite possible the body of the pen which is made of a special composite, was designed to have the look of wood. From what I know about aviation history, I would not be surprised if it was made as a nod to the De Havilland Mosquito, a British aircraft whose all wooden construction made it one of the fastest planes in the 1940's In fact, in 2018 Breitling created an Aviator 8 watch to commemorate De Havilland's iconic plane. But...who knows? The pen is 6 inches in length with cap. It will arrive in its box which has a grey bottom where the pen rests and a heavier acrylic top. This slides into a cardboard sleeve yellow and black in color and has Breitlings name on one side along with 1884, and an image of a plane. The pen writes nice and smooth. It takes a standard refill when the ink runs out. the pen will arrive in its 2 piece box and cardboard slide. (other props that are in the photos are not included but for photographic purposes only)
