GREEK HANDPAINTED PYXIS OF GODESS APHRODITE

A Greek clay lidded pot depicting the goddess Aphrodite. A pyxis is a vessel in classical times to hold cosmetics, jewelry, trinkets, medicine or incense. It's all handmade and handpainted with all outlines and her hair lightly etched into the clay. It's in shades of black and brick and has a matte finish. It measures 4.5" in diameter and a height of 1.5". Aphrodite is the ancient Greek goddess of love and beauty. This is in like new condition.
