@steeter11 you reply to every Babaa listing with this — you did it to me and I was selling an authentic Babaa last week (already sold and shipped). Maybe you should be a little more discerning.

@shaileeeeeee hi I'm sorry that I called yours a scam when it wasn't. Truly my apologies. I've probably called out 50 or more of these and I've been wrong I think 3 times (at least that I've been told and I think people would tell me haha) I hope that I've stopped some people from getting scammed. I'm very glad your Babaa sold regardless of my error. I try my best to catch these (I hate to see people get scammed on here) but obviously I have been wrong. Again my apologies 🖤

I was wondering why it listed a size. Aren’t all Babaa sweaters one size?
Jul 28Reply

steeter11
@beatricecran471 they are one size

@beatricecran471 it's defiantly a tip off to me that it could be a scam when they are listed as an 8 (or any specific size)

@steeter11 hi! Curious what elements you look for to tell if it’s a scam? Thank you!

@talismalz usually when it's the only item of a seller that's a big tip off, that and weird sizing information that doesn't make sense. Those are the biggest ones. The scammer change their methods all the time though so best bet is to make sure that a seller has some reviews. If they don't, try to have a conversation or ask a question. Scammers don't usually respond. I hope this helps. I have a whole post in my closet explaining how the scams generally work 🖤

@steeter11 You seem to know stuff that I wish I did. Do we also need to worry about getting scammed by Babaa *buyers*? Not sure how it's possible but just want to be alert when I'm selling a high ticket item.

@tws123 I have read a few stories on Reddit about people getting scammed by a buyer. I think it's pretty rare but I definitely don't know everything! Reddit is very helpful in getting more information on these kinds of things

@steeter11 Thanks. I'll check it out. Sadly, Babaa seems to be a brand that scammers are drawn to, I guess because the demand is especially high for the used stuff since the sweaters are soooooo $$$ new.
