Is there a key for the lock or is lock kinda stuck on the pull tab?

Just in case it is, LV will unlock it for you...maybe even provide you with a free loose key. Mine was replaced for free when I lost it and accidentally locked my purse...couldn't find the key and took it LV immediately lol. They unlocked my bag and then let me keep the key. It was both embarrassing and funny at the same time. Anyway, lmk. Also is there any odor to report even if storage perfumes etc? All rivets secured? Does the 25 heat stamp still appear behind the leather end tab? Thanks.

@vintageplum hi! The lock is stuck, I don’t know where the key is unfortunately. I’ve moved a few times :(

@vintageplum no odor, yes, everything is in place, LV replaced the piping a few years I will upload photos of the bottom of the bag forgot to do that

@vintageplum I don’t see the 25 stamp

@vintageplum I put a video up of the bottom of the bag bag to show the new piping

@miaxoxo105 Thank you for sharing about the piping, I didn't notice it at first since it's not highlighted like the video. I don't normally like uneven patina but it seems to look ok. So you never tried for the free key or LV unlock it? Regarding the heat stamp, I think something looks faint there by your thumb. It almost looks like a 3 and 0, but I may be seeing things. The texture of the back does create illusions lol. Thanks again for your quick, detailed and honest responses. :)

@vintageplum hi, no there’s no stamp at all there. No I’ve never been to LV for a key. I didn’t know you could do that. It never bothered me, so I never looked into it tbh :)

@miaxoxo105 Haha, I see ok. The lock puts more weight on that zipper pull eventually tearing it off. That's my only concern, It's nice otherwise.

I'm a bit confused as to what's going on with the lock and key?
Feb 25Reply

miaxoxo105
@gingerbread5900 because padlock was made France. The bag itself was made is the US the padlock they used was made in France

gingerbread5900
@miaxoxo105 you have the key separately. Does it work on the padlock?
Feb 25Reply

miaxoxo105
@gingerbread5900 I do not have the key anymore. I purchased the bag in 2007. It is almost 20 years old. I’ve moved a handful of times since purchasing the bag when I was 16 years old, it was my first luxury purchase, so I wasn’t that mindful about it. It only comes with the dust bag not box. The bag has been repiped since purchasing the bag. They did that for me one time.

Then as per your picture, the padlock is attached to area of bag that you open zipper?

@gingerbread5900 yes

I'm thinking the weight could eventually pull the leather tab off.
