Hand Made Hanky Tank

This is the second in this series of Hanky Tanks, where I departed from the written pattern (found with an online search) and put some of my own touches on it. The sides are more tapered than the original piece, although it's still made in four pieces and sewn at both sides and down the center front and back. It still has a bustline of 42" and flares out dramatically from there. The shirt points measure at 21" and the points fall to 32". The neckline is what determines the size of this piece, if you're more generously proportioned on the top end go with a bigger size. This is made with Dahlia Mixo in Pistachio and adds a strand of olive crochet thread in both striped rows and in the trim. It's 100% cotton for that buttery drape and ease of care. Toss this on with a tank and some shorts for a casual look, wear it with a pencil skirt to dress it up or throw it over your swimsuit for a fun day at the beach. No matter how you wear it, this flirty little piece will be turning heads.
