POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) is a chronic illness on the dysautonomic spectrum. A disorder of the autonomic nervous system, the symptoms are often life altering if not debilitating. Although doctors are trained to believe that POTS is rare, it was estimated that pre-Covid 170/100,000 in the general US population had POTS; approximately 75% of those diagnosed are women and it affects 1% of teens. katjlp 🎉WOW! When I was sharing back, I read your name and knew instantly that you had pots! My daughter developed pots when she was 14 years old. She lost the ability to speak or walk for three months. Long, long road! My daughter is 29 years old. She is a Dr! MUCH RESPECT to you for sharing this!

sellingwithpots @katjlp Wow! Thank you for sharing! She sounds like a champ 💗 I had my first POTS flare when I was 11 or 12 and it took 20+ years to receive a diagnosis. Educating the public and medical professionals about dysautonomic conditions is so important- we need more docs like your girl 💗
