eurostudio88Hi! I received the jacket, but haven't accepted it yet because it has an extremely strong (chemical?) smell. Have you treated it with anything? I've hung it in the breeze to see if the smell will dissipate, but any advice on how to get the smell out is appreciated.

samity__@eurostudio88 Oh no! I am so sorry about that! I have not treated it with anything and it did not have a smell prior to shipping. I hope it wasn’t one of the bags I shipped it in! I’ll do some research on ways to get the smell out and get back to you. I apologize again and hope we can work it out!

eurostudio88@samity__ It's a gorgeous jacket otherwise. It smells like it may have been sprayed at some point? Perhaps with something like Fabreze? And then if it's stored inside a bag the smell gets locked in. I hope just hanging in the breeze will reduce it? But any tips are appreciated!

samity__@eurostudio88 I found this tip on Muubaa’s website - “We suggest you put your jacket in a cardboard box, fill it with wrinkled newspapers, close it and leave it for 2-3 days, the paper should absorb the odour. If you live in a dry climate, hang it outside for 24 hours. These methods are not guaranteed.”

samity__@eurostudio88 That box method with baking soda instead of paper popped up several times in my search as well. Hanging up to air out in the breeze (avoiding direct sunlight) like you are is also recommended - good thinking! I can also order a leather cleaner sent directly to you if that is needed. It is so gorgeous, I hope you are able to enjoy it! Let me know if this doesn’t work 🤞
