Equisite antique coral filigree silver and enamel Bracelets of this type were produced in China for the local and export markets around 1900. This example is of unusually high quality. It comprises five hinged segments or sections of gilded (gold-plated) silver wire mesh which has been finely and evenly woven. Each segment is raised and inset with an oval coral cabochon surrounded by applied Canton enamelled gilded silver floral work.
The bracelet opens with a press-stud mechanism. It retains its original gilded safety chain

@pgburnett Hi! Just a gentle reminder about the coral. Remember, the best test is under the microscope. Genuine coral shows growth rings and even coloring, while dyed coral has concentrated dye in cracks. Plastic imitations lack growth rings. I'm eager to hear your thoughts!😊
