This cross is a symbol of the Franciscan Tradition. St. Francis was praying before this cross when he heard a voice saying “Francis, go and repair My house” - this was pivotal as the founding of the Franciscan Order. Notice the rich hues of this cross as well as images that are around Christ. They are Mary, Saints- people who were connected to Christ’s crucifixion. This is a vintage piece from the 70’s.
