A collection known as "Wearable Art" won him a Coty award the following year. Was head designer for Bill Blass from 2003 to 2007. Was also well known as a illustrator, named by the New York Times as A Top Illustrator, but he considered himself a Fashion Designer first. He passed in 2018 at the age of 70.
