Vintage Sterling Silver and Turquoise Cabochon Taxco 980 Mexico Bracelet A rare and beautiful quality sterling silver and turquoise bracelet handmade in Taxco de Alarcón, a city in Mexico famed for its silver jewelry studios. Substantial but still comfortable to wear, it is constructed of seven joined links, six of which are in a "C" shape, plus one symmetrical center piece, each with oxidized hand-tooled grooves. The crowning jewel is an eye-catching, half inch bezel-set turquoise cabochon set in the center. Why is Taxco silver so prized? This unassuming city in the Mexican mountains is famous for producing some of the finest handmade silver jewelry in the world and is often referred to as 'the silver capital of the world.'
