As a young man he traveled to the states, and then later upper Canada learning the craft of shoemaking. Fast-forward to July 27, 1899. In Fredericton, New Brunswick, The Hartt Boot & Shoe Company began producing its first shoes. Hartt produced military boots for Canadian soldiers serving in both World War I and II. Beginning in 1974, Hartt began manufacturing the Strathcona dress boots for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police 🍁🫡 And the rest is history.. Own a piece of Canadian history on your feet!
